I’m guessing Norway and all EU countries will summarily imprison all American soldiers stationed in Europe, and then demand their release in return for the US giving Greenland back.
Personally, I’m going to put my studies aside to join the military. I make sure to slaughter as many enemies as possible as they have dared to attack our brothers to the south!

Jeg synes dette er feil spørsmål. Selvfølgelig er det riv ruskende galt av Trump å ta Grønland, men til syvende og sist er ikke det noe stort problem for Danmark eller Europa. Grønland er først og fremst et pengesluk.
Det som *er* viktig for Europa er at vi har basert vårt forsvar mot Putin på Nato, som er bygd opp rundt et USA som åpenbart ikke kunne brydd seg mindre om å forsvare oss. Vi trenger en erstatning, og det haster.
Heller enn å bekymre oss for Grønland burde vi gjøre en total revurdering av vårt forhold til USA og vår avhengighet av dem på mange felter. Burde amerikanske militærbaser sies opp? Osv.
Det er sånne spørsmål vi bør finne ut av. Ikke hvordan vi skal forsvare et Grønland som vi uansett ikke klarer å forsvare og som heller ikke er verdt å forsvare.

We are bordering the Arctic so we are in this whether we want to or not. If the US should annex Greenland there is realistically not much anybody can do but I also see no way that Nato can continue with them. The US will be no part of Nato anymore, they will effectively be the enemy.
Vi er tvunget til å oppløse NATO slik det eksisterer i dag og belage oss på et rent europeisk samarbeid. Alternativet er å håpe at oppstandelsen i USA vedvarer og blir så omfattende at det bryter ut borgerkrig. Da kan europeiske styrler heller gå inn og være med på nedkjempe sittende regjering og på nytt inngå nytt samarbeid når T ikke lenger har makta. Problemet er vel ikke egentlig mainstream Amerika men at de har kommet utfor å demokratisk stemme frem en diktator som nå overkjører flere lover og spilleregler innen demokratisk styre. Vi har vel sett dette før i historien… Men det er mer håp i dag som hele verden er tidsvitner. Vi må bare tro at rettferdighet og fornuften seirer. Allerede nå tar guvernører i flere stater til orde og protesterer helt tydelig mot statsmakten. Man kan f.eks lese at ordførere og guvernører ber innbyggere respektere “local law enforcement” men ICE inkluderes ikke her. Statene og storbyene, mange bedrifter og lokale vil gjøre det de kan for å fryse ut ICE…
Every European ally should move defensive equipment and forces to Greenland until Trumps presidency is over. That way we eliminate his false reason that it’s about security (he wants the resources and to make America bigger on the map so that he can write himself into the history books).

I just realised, that the US president may just have watched the movie Greenland and he wants to own it.

I think that probably sums up what is going to happen in relations to the public population in most places. How politicians and other senior level policy makers are going to react, I have no clue.

Et annet moment er at vi blir skvist mellom USA og Russland som antageligvis kommer til å inngå en allianse mot Europa, og da må Europa velge hvilken front de må kjempe på først før de må kjempe på begge to samtidig
If US invades, I would expect every US base in Europe would be shut down.
US personell would be imprisoned. Or to be kind, we would probably let them fly personell home. But equipment stays behind.
Europe can not invade and take back Greenland, and US can not invade Europe. US does not have 4-5-6 millions soldiers needed for an invasion of Europe (bare minimum).
It would not be a war, but cutting ties, letting US Dollar as world currency die. US could no longer project power into Middle East or Africa, loosing its bases there, and Israel would be cut off and be all alone.
I would expect constant Air sorties, potentially shooting down any Air refuling tankers over Atlantic, that the US would need to bomb European targets. Submarines would patrol for any Military surface ships.
Near every European country would have Nukes in 2-3 years.
Vel, det er kanskje noe av det beste som kan skje med europa sånn militærisk sett og industrien våres siden vi vil pumpe penger inn i det europeiske markedet istenfor det amerikanske.
Tappet er ikke nødvendigvis så katostofalt for oss, men usa kommer definert ikke ut i pluss i lengden av å miste oss. Og muligens andre nære partnere i asia.
Usa er avhengig av nato og globale partnere for å holde seg overalt og få investeringer inn i industrien sin. Går dette vekk så faller hele strukturen deres i dass. Alt over en svær isklomp som vil gå for selvstendighet og inn i eu igjen alikavel.
