‘KPop Demon Hunters’ Nominated for Producer Prize ahead of 2026 PGA Awards

Korean Canadian filmmaker Maggie Kang’s popular Netflix animated film “KPop Demon Hunters” was nominated for the animated motion picture producer prize for the 2026 Producers Guild of America(PGA) Awards.

According to the guild’s nomination list on Friday, Michelle L.M. Wong, one of the producers of “KPop Demon Hunters,” was nominated for outstanding producer of animated theatrical motion pictures.

Also vying for the same prize are the producers of “The Bad Guys 2,” “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle,” “Elio” and “Zootopia 2.”

Earlier this week, “KPop Demon Hunters” was named the best animated feature and its theme song, “Golden,” won in the best song category at the 31st Critics Choice Awards, signaling a possible win at the 98th Academy Awards set for March 15.

The 37th PGA Awards will honor the award recipients on February 28 in Los Angeles.
