The Republika Srpska Prime Minister, Savo Minic, said that January 9 was being marked this year, as in previous years, “under pressure and challenges from Sarajevo”, but that this would not prevent its commemoration and celebration.
“We are not against anyone. We are celebrating something that happened before the war – the decision to establish Republika Srpska. We want to celebrate that birthday, and there is no institution that can ban it, because this is not directed against anyone. We are celebrating a birthday, and everyone is welcome,” Minic said before the parade, RTRS reported.
