As reported by the Government of Croatia
The Government of Croatia approved an urgent aid package for Ukraine and a conclusion on technical support for its energy system, as announced on the government’s official page.
The package provides for the transfer of 100 Vulkan 10 mobile metal-cutting lathes and related costs totaling about €500,000. The funding is provided from the resources of the Croatian Ministry of the Interior and is planned in the state budget for 2026.
As part of the technical support for Ukraine’s energy system, the government released its assessment. Economy Minister Ante Šušnjar stressed that such assistance aligns with the Ukrainian embassy’s request, considering the significant damage to energy facilities and interruptions in electricity supply.
Additionally, Croatia may transfer to Ukraine transformers, pumps and other technical equipment that is not currently used in the country.
This step demonstrates Croatia’s willingness to support Ukraine in the energy dimension and to strengthen joint cooperation in these challenging times.
Key aspects of the package and future cooperation
The program focusing on material and technical assistance aims to strengthen Ukraine’s energy stability and deepen the partnership between the two countries, taking into account the needs for restoring critical infrastructure.
