The weirdest thing isn’t when people are tricked into believing something that’s actually AI.
The weirdest thing is when you can’t convince other people that you’re *not* AI. That you’re human.
When you live in a world where AIs can pass the Turing Test, you live in a world where you *don’t* pass the Turing Test.

Maybe it’s copium about our inevitable self destruction, but we already had fake news before AI and having more people question if news is real might actually be a good thing.
It’s something I always wondered about AI slop, could it do the opposite of what everyone expects and social media devalues itself and people stop using it.

Fascist authoritarian groups have always used this tool. Skeptecism, education and the idea that the the worlds problems **CAN’T** be solved quickly, easily and with simple brute force is the only defense
I don’t trust anyone online and I never have.
I always assumed half are lying or just talking out of their ass or making up answers on the fly.
I always judge what people say based on its own merits and my other experiences and try to see if it’s actually correct before I believe what I read online.
The first time a politician uses AI to deceive their voters they should automatically be removed from office.

It’s pretty cool. Never thought I’d get to experience as the internet undergoes global schizophrenia.
That is what AI Deepfakes are used for and only good for: hurting people and making things worse. The people that use it, know that and exploit it. That’s the kind of person they are. They’re given this and use it for evil than good.
Tools like this reveal the worst in people.
That’s the whole point. People talking about an AI bubble or the true market value of LLM companies are missing the point. The value is power, not wealth.
