At the Sofia Trophy in Bulgaria, Ukrainian dance duets once again confirmed their high level of artistry, winning gold and silver across different categories.
Iryna Pidhayna and Artem Koval, students of Halyna Churilova, celebrated victory in the junior category. They confidently won both programs and set the season’s best score – 172.44 points: 69.89 for the rhythm dance and 102.55 in the free dance.
This is already the pair’s sixth victory at international competitions this season.
Silver in the senior category and other Ukrainian achievements
In the senior category, the silver went to the duo Maria Pinchuk and Mykyta Pogorelov with a total of 176.93 points. In the rhythm dance they earned 68.88 points, and in the free dance – 108.05.
The winners with a score of 193.20 points were the Spanish dancers Sofia Vel and Asaf Kazimov.
The Sofia Trophy competitions confirm the high level of the Ukrainian figure skating school and its steady presence on the international stage.
