CINCINNATI (Cincinnati Business Courier) – Meta has entered into an agreement with a nuclear technology company to develop a power plant intended to support its data centers in Ohio.
Oklo announced the agreement Jan. 9, saying it advances plans to develop a 1.2-gigawatt nuclear power campus in Pike County. According to some estimates, the plant can power at least 750,000 homes.
An affiliate of Oklo purchased a nearly 206-acre parcel of land off US Highway 23 from the U.S. Department of Energy in December 2025 for nearly $5.15 million, according to property records.
