    The indictment prepared for the ISIS attack in Yalova; A total of 97 associations, masjids and madrassas “operating in support of the DAESH terrorist organization” were detected in 24 cities.


    Striking details were included in the indictment prepared within the scope of the investigation initiated by the Yalova Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office after the operation against ISIS in Yalova on December 29, 2025. The letter of the TEM Department dated October 25, 2023, included in the indictment, mirrored the activities of the jihadist structure in Türkiye.

    In the article dated October 2023 included in the indictment, it was stated that people belonging to radical and salafi ideology in Türkiye opened bookstores, nurseries, masjids and madrassas in order to “create a base”. In the article, it was stated that the target audience of the terrorist organization in gaining members and base was mostly young people, and the following expressions were used:

    “Terrorist organizations that exploit religion interpret issues such as ‘Daru’l Harp, Taghut, Regime, Vote, Friday Prayer, Caliphate, Jihad, Tawhid, Shirk, not sending children to public schools’ according to their own philosophies and ideologies. In addition, individuals supporting the DAESH terrorist organization and similar terrorist organizations that exploit religion open legal or illegal associations and bookstores in order to create a base in our country, recruit members and provide financial income to their members in conflict zones. It consists of nurseries, masjids and madrasahs.”

    The article also shared the number of associations, bookstores, masjids and madrasahs operating in Türkiye that are described as “pro-DAESH terrorist organization”. In Türkiye, a total of 97 “pro-ISIS” associations, 24 of which are in Yalova, Adana, Ağrı, Ankara, Batman, Bingöl, Bursa, Çankırı, Diyarbakır, Elazığ, Eskişehir, Gaziantep, Istanbul, İzmir, Kayseri, Kocaeli, Konya, Malatya, Manisa, Muş, Sakarya, Samsun, Tekirdağ, Yalova and Van. It was reported that a bookstore, masjid and madrasah were identified.

    It was emphasized that the efforts to terminate the formations that are determined to be pro-ISIS and operate for the purpose of “providing members and financing for ISIS” will make significant contributions to “disrupting the organization’s base-gaining activities” and the fight against the terrorist organization. On the other hand, the indictment also included sanctions regarding businesses close to ISIS, mentioned in the article dated October 2023.
