There is a fact that even the ‘Deaf Sultan’ knows. Allegations that gambling and betting baron Veysel Şahin was behind the capital structure of Ekol TV have been revealed since the first day. However, despite this, RTÜK license was obtained and broadcasting started.

The first ‘heavy’ visitor of the channel was Akın Gürlek. He went to the channel on November 1, 2024, toured the production and exchanged gifts. It was obvious that a message was being sent.

Former Gendarmerie General Commander Arif Çetin took over the management of this channel as soon as he retired. However, what a great coincidence that Arif Çetin’s board membership was terminated on the day the investigation started.

Küçükçekmece Prosecutor’s Office initiated the investigation. The channel was hastily closed. The company address was moved from Küçükçekmece to Kağıthane overnight. The file came under the jurisdiction of Çağlayan Courthouse in Küçükçekmece, where Akın Gürlek, who had personally visited the channel before, is the chief prosecutor.

Now I ask on behalf of our nation:

1. “Why did the former RTÜK President destroy himself during the channel’s accreditation process? Was there any benefit provided in return for this ‘superior effort’?”
2. “Was the investigation information leaked to Arif Çetin beforehand so that he left office on the same day?”
3. “Why did a Chief Public Prosecutor visit a channel that has so many doubts about it?”
4. “Whose idea was it that the channel would be closed, its address moved to Kağıthane, and the file moved to Çağlayan, that is, ‘familiar waters’?”
