EasyJet has unveiled a new direct route from Nice Côte d’Azur Airport to Funchal, in Portugal, set to launch in June 2026.
From 6 June, the British low-cost airline will operate two flights a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, linking Nice with the capital of Madeira.
Tickets are already on sale, with one-way fares starting from around €40.
The new service will offer a direct alternative to existing connections, which currently require a stopover in Lisbon.
EasyJet said the route strengthens links between the Côte d’Azur and Portugal and expands its leisure travel offering from Nice.
Funchal, often dubbed the “pearl of the Atlantic”, is popular for its mild year-round climate, lush gardens and outdoor activities, including hiking along Madeira’s famous levadas.
