Moon Snails really do be laying their egg sacs everywhere on Melbourne beaches this time of year
Just went on holiday to Phillip Island and those weird transparent blobs were everywhere… honestly it’s crazy. Harder to see with the naked eye but in the 1st pic you can see all the individual eggs!
lol as a kid I was told by my parents and other people that these things were jelly fish. I was always told to make sure I don’t step on any of them on the way in and out of the beach.

When they dry out they leave a grey plastic looking curl that people think is litter

We always referred to these as Ghost Poo. Quite the missile.

I used to pick them up in my bucket but, nowadays I don’t even like seeing them in the beach I don’t know why 😵💫

Loved these as a kid. My kid loves these. Nothing like a jelly blubber fight when these things start washing up in Frankston.

I used to love squishing these between my fingers when I was a kid 🙈 throwing them at my siblings was also fun

I always thought they were shark eggs. Or at least that’s what everyone would call them.
