Footage filmed by Spanish skier Ares Masip showed the moment she was swept away by an avalanche on Pic de l’Hortell, a mountain in the Pyrenees in Andorra.
The skier was outside with her dog Cim when she was surprised by the snow.
“The mountain is collapsing,” Masip told the BBC, the Telegraph reports.
“You have to do everything possible to reduce the risks,” the skier said in an interview, adding that she knew the area well and thought it would be safe.
“It’s good to remember that zero risk does not exist in the mountains,” the skier added.
She and her dog were not injured in the incident or rather the avalanche. /Telegraph/
