      That’s for sure. Whenever you may think that what they do (or should do) is a good idea, the method is very suspect. They are closer to a secret police than a federal agency.

      Nach dem was aktuell passiert ist, ist es fast klar. Einige wünschen sich eine remigratio. Oder wie das auch immer heisst. Aber befùrworten es nicht wie es durchgeführt wird. Was jeder versteht. Politik und Medien wissen halt wie man, wann, was umfragen kann. Hass oder minderes wird gerne dadurch geschürt. Es kommt einfach nicht mehr so rüber als ob man aufklären will sondern nur noch ja oder nein.

      I believe in the rule of law and due process. Immigration enforcement should happen within that framework, therefore I stand with ICE.

      That is not really a surprise.
      People who watch SRF are trained to find this incredibly brutal, because the news is structured that way. Of course they will reply to a poll in the way it is portrayed by their source of truth.

      This probably has more to do with the Swiss being salty over the Trump tariffs effecting their commerce.

      Essentially what is wrong with deporting people who entered the States illegally? Wouldn’t Switzerland do the same?

      However yeah I agree if they do too much abuse this is a problem. However as there are high political takes on this specific subject it is impossible to know if what we learn from it is true or false are both sides use propaganda to make it fit to their view.

      Well the most hardcore Swiss people I know are also coincidentally the most brain washed people that I know, and mostly consume local leftist swiss media

      so i can believe this 100%

      as soon as the old generations are out and stop voting, leading to a majority young leftist voter base, this country will fall apart and lose everything that’s made it great.

      all the young swiss people i know have forgotten or never learned what made Switzerland the amazing country that it is today, and are actively voting to reverse that

      They tell you what your opinion should be first though. The swiss implicitly trust authority, or it’s a pathology, and nobody wants to risk being sent to a psychiatrist for thinking immigration law in the US should be… like it is here. It’s like shirley nick can’t be serious. Either that or 91% of respondents want switzerland to be like america, which doesn’t really compute. Ergo, I say ear go, cut my own ear off now i can’t hear in stereo. Those 7% aren’t bonkers. Long live the 7%.
