  1. A president gatekeeping oil rights on foreign land, this must be more of that small government they all talk about

  2. It didn’t sound like Exxon wanted in anyways. Trump is trying to make it seem like them not investing in Venezuela is his choice and not that he’s actually being told no. What a child

  3. Its a bizzare stituation where it almost looks like he ordered the strikes and kidnapping thinking that American oil companies were all salivating at the thought of getting a chance to invest again in Venezuala. Now that Exxon has bluntly told him the truth, he says that they are being too cute.

  4. A bit of context, the CEO of Exxon called Venezuela “uninvestable” and pointed out that previous attempts to do business there ended up with their assets being seized by the state.

*”We have had our assets seized there twice and so you can imagine to re-enter a third time would require some pretty significant changes from what we’ve historically seen and what is currently the state.”*

Then there was the time that Rex Tillerson, a previous Exxon CEO called Trump a “fucking moron” after serving as his energy minister in his first term.

Banning Exxon from involvement in Venezuela is like someone sacking you after you’ve already resigned and left the building.

I doubt that Trump will get many takers either, especially as the US government issued advice at the weekend to any US citizens in Venezuela to leave the country:

CEO: we don’t want to invest here.

Trump: we won’t allow you to invest here. Because I’m the boss.

CEO: oh no. But ok, fine.

  6. Being kept out is probably the best possible outcome in a business sense, it is going to be a lose-lose situation in Venezuela. Realistically, ExxonMobil is dodging a missile.

  7. **Presidential Turd:** Build the oil infrastructure in Venezuela and pay for it and do it now, drill baby drill!
**ExxonMobil:** We don´t want to do anything in Venezuela, its to expensive and takes to much time, thank you.
**Presidential Turd:** ExxonMobil is not allowed the greates opportunity in history and drill the most beautiful oil the world has ever seen for the american people! They lost it, like that, the art of the deal!

    **ExxonMobil:**…

  8. Him having a tantrum after they said it’s uninvestable and banning them is so fucking childish and stupid. He thinks he’s teaching them a lesson but they don’t care.

It’s like if I asked Sydney Sweeney out and she said she wanted nothing to do with me so I then told her she’s banned from dating me and I walk away from that thinking that will show her!

“The White House is framing the effort to “run” Venezuela in economic terms, and Trump has seized tankers carrying Venezuelan oil, has said the U.S. is taking over the sales of 30 million to 50 million barrels of previously sanctioned Venezuelan crude, and plans to control sales worldwide indefinitely.”

That certainly sounds like a law enforcement action. No contradiction there at all.

Guess what, nobody will invest in Venezuela because Donald Trump’s assurances are worth nothing. The oil industry has benefited handsomely from Trump’s corruption, they know better than anybody that he has never kept his end of a deal and he has betrayed everyone who ever trusted him.

  10. Trump: “Hey, have some oil in Venezuela”
    Exxon: “No thanks”
Trump: “Fine! Now you can’t have any!”

  11. So he’s going to keep Exxon out of a place that they made clear that they weren’t going to go?

  12. Literally dividing up the spoils for the natural resources he has in no way actually secured among his billionaire friends.

This is fascism and it is what created modern Russia.

  13. The CEO is probably relieved to hear that they will not have to pumping Billions of useless dollars into Venezuela to keep him happy. I’m sure the other companies are hoping Trump wants to lock them out too.

The free market at work. The Sun King deciding which corporation can participate in the illegal foreign occupation project based on which ones dared hurt his feelings.

And as if DT, is going to drive a wedge between companies doing business together for decades.
For example, worked Osprey field development in 1986. Run by Shell Royal Dutch, partners were, Amerada Hess, Mobile, Chevron and Norski Shell.
It’s about the lease on the seabed lease licenses. Just as if one idiot is going to change the hegemony? 🤷‍♂️

Next up: DOJ are investigation the CEO for something unrelated, but definitely not as revenge on Trumps orders.

“We can’t make money on this oil”

“That hurt my feelings so youre not allowed to lose money on this oil now”

    The master negotiator everyone

  18. So Exxon has no interest in Trump’s cockamamie scheme and Trump is embarrassed and wants to pretend that he’s keeping Exxon out. Got it.
