Greek passport-holders rank among the world’s most privileged as far as travel to other countries without requiring a visa is concerned.
Greece is one of the ten European countries – including Germany, France and Italy – whose passports are ranked 4th on the Henley Passport Index for 2026, with access to 185 destinations.
Singapore stands at the top of the list, with its passport-holders having visa-free access to 192 countries, followed by Japan and South Korea in joint second place.
The index published by Henley & Partners is based on data from the International Air Transport Association. In 2025, Greece was in 6th position with access to 189 countries.
