A crowd of protesters gathered outside MotorCity Casino well before the president arrived, waving signs that criticized the Trump administration’s deployment of Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents to cities like Minneapolis, where an ICE agent shot and killed motorist Renee Good on Jan. 7.
MLive photojournalists Jacob Hamilton and Jake May were there to cover the president’s visit, Trump’s supporters and protests in Downtown Detroit and outside the venue.
