  1. Data sources: Trump’s 2025 OGE Form e278 using Python and Next.js. I used SEC’s CIK data and some LLM help with manual verification by myself to map names to ticker symbols. I used Python to parse data and build analytics, and Next.js for visualization.

Methodology explained in detail on [https://insidercat.com/trump/portfolio](https://insidercat.com/trump/portfolio)

  2. I understand comparing his stock portfolio to the S&P 500 (much as people do with the Pelosi’s who do better btw) but why are you combining stocks and bonds and comparing it to a stock only portfolio? And all a bit moot when the real increase is in his private company assets which has gone to the moon.

  3. It should be illegal to… oh who the fuck am I kidding, laws don’t exist anymore and this is a fascist dictatorship.

Almost certainly there is lots of undisclosed money hidden that didn’t make the OGE e278; no conman is ever fully transparent. Whether it’s in stocks or all in other vehicles is another question.

  5. Someone needs to start a bot following his stock account like they do for Pelosi and Inverse Cramer.

  6. No need to invest in the stock market when you can just fleece your supporters for billions by rugging them in a crypto scam risk free

  7. Kinda poor for a guy who can manipulate the market and fire the people who would go after him. So sad for him. Even with the cards stacked he probably would’ve been better off staying at home and letting daddy’s money guy manage everything while he had his Mac and cheese and Choco milk

  8. Not a fan of the man but…

This info compares stuff that is not comparable.

if insider trading nets you only 6% above s&p, you are doing it wrong.

  9. Yay, my YTD is 50% higher than the biggest con artist in history.

Now, if only I could figure out how to siphon billions from the government….

  10. Why would you arbitrarily exclude a holding that’s down?

Why “If bonds were stocks”? If my grandma had wheels, she’d be a bicycle.

  11. Hey! I would like to answer questions on (1) excuding TMTG, (2) “if bonds were stocks” here:

You are right about asking if TMTG had been making profits we would have still excluded it or not. On the other hand some say that we are understating his gains from lots of other stuff.

We added “If bonds were stocks” because corporate bonds aren’t that accessible to the average retail investor, so if they were to copy him they were going to buy the stocks instead. I know bonds and stocks are different asset classes, yet this was a feedback I got when I was showing this to my friends trading stocks.

It’s bit of a tough spot anyways, so I chose to state our decisions clearly and let people do the further analyses. All of Trump’s financial disclosures should be available online, and they are in public domain.
