TLDR: skroutz has made the process of leaving a review very difficult, especially for negative experiences. It has even made the process of leaving a review in a store that has not completed the order literally impossible.

it’s not a huge deal, but honestly I wanted to share my experience because I was left without a dryer in the middle of winter and now everything is 100+ since Black Friday.

Rant following:

As you probably already know from your own experience, in recent years skroutz has changed from a good price tracker, to an amazon wannabe store – with its own cart, warehouse, subscription and wallet – and is now a bad price tracker, since competing sites always (always) have cheaper options.

Overall, I have positive experiences with skroutz support, even if many of its sellers still have the same availability and update problems they had when they were just small shops.

So recently I too had a problem with an order.

  • I place an order on Black Friday through skroutz and klarna.
  • The availability of the product changed after the order was placed and we were left waiting for an update.
  • A month later, we’re still waiting for an update, so I decide to call.
  • The store informs me that they will receive stock in the middle of January but they are NOT going to fulfill the order because you will get it – whatever.
  • I am very reasonably asking WHY hasn’t anyone informed me since they knew and why hasn’t the order been cancelled?
  • So I learn that for someone (very strange and unlikely to be true reason) stores cannot cancel orders through skroutz (?).
  • After contacting the skroutz support, they confirm that the store really could not cancel it for me – of course it could have contacted me.
  • Of course no one knows why no one bothered to inform me for over a month and a half now.

So I decide to write a review about my experience since it was one of the worst. Complimentary shoutout to eshop and electroholic who have the crown.

  • After a few hours an email arrives: "Your award could not be published"
  • I’m talking to support, and it’s supposed to be from the Skroutz cart so I have to use the other option, but come on, there isn’t one: https://i.imgur.com/jetDmau.png
  • It’s supposed to not exist because the order is in progress – other than that on the other page it gives you the option to leave a review without having received for any reason
  • Anyway, after days, almost two months of purchase, they finally cancel the order – so I finally get around to leaving a review
  • Of course, I can’t. And my support confirms that this is how it is.

I don’t know if I should expect anything better.

EDIT: Since we’re on scummy skroutz tactics, I have one more:
For three or four months now, in my area, they have blocked skroutz boxes as an option for skoop orders, removing them from the map – while they work and appear normally for cart orders. Of course, it is presented as a technical matter, rather than a purposeful choice.
