Man Charged With Shining Laser Pointer At Trump’s Helicopter Acquitted In 35 Minutes | It’s another embarrassing outcome for Jeanine Pirro, who tried to “make a felon out of a homeless man with nothing but a cat toy keychain.”

  1. I’m really digging the whole bully Trump where ever he goes thing.

Minor irritating things like laser pointers and being called a pedo. Keep it up.

  2. Who knew a cat toy could land you a helicopter-sized problem? Sorry Pirro, no cat-astrophic conviction here.

This – among so many events – is why anyone aligned with the MAGA cult or MAGA political policies should never, ever be allowed to govern anything. They’re wasting real money, and real DoJ work hours on utter bullshit to please trump’s Scorched Earth attitude towards the country and most of its citizens.

While im happy with anything fucking with Trump – don’t point lasers at Helis. It really is dangerous, no matter how strong the laser is.

If ten people in a group pointed lasers in random directions, and one of them shined it in thr eyes of someone, would they be able to convict any of them beyond a reasonable doubt?  Bullets can be traced to guns

I love this but I’m not gonna lie, I do worry about what comes next after they realize they can’t use the “legal system”

I don’t know if the full details of the laser strike in this case, but I actually think the laser strike laws against aircraft are decently good things to have. I assume if this was dismissed then they grossly over reached and no laser actually hit a pilot just the onboard detection went off.

  8. The DOJ is nothing more than a really bad law firm. It has no credibility before the courts or juries. It should be taking car accident cases. It’s a joke.

  9. So close!

Lets hope it doesnt turn into another grift. He might send a tweet that was attacked in his helicopter. God must be on his side for him to survive such a tragic and dangerous situation.

Really shows how incompetent they are when they can’t even get a charge to stick for shining a laser at an aircraft, let alone Marine One lmao

  11. TV judge fails at real job. This administration is a complete fucking joke, and so are Republicans.

  12. This is why the state of Texas has essentially banned the American Bar Association.

Because when you have standards in place that prioritize integrity, excellence, and honesty…it makes it that much harder to grift and to gaslight.

Makes it a lot harder to prosecute people when the justice system still won’t allow you to create your own reality of lies just to punish people you’ve already chosen to hate.

They want all of the worst people to be able to call themselves lawyers, but they don’t actually want them to have any integrity.

And therefore, goodbye Bar Association standards in Texas.

  13. Witnessed by a secret service agent and still couldn’t get a conviction‽ That is the definition of incompetence and trying to overreach on the charges.

Can Jeanine even stay sober long enough to even indict anyone correctly?

What an absolute embarrassment of an administration.

  15. With the attention he gained, is this man getting housing assistance services so that he will no longer be homeless?

Glad that the charges were dismissed, but you shouldn’t hit aircraft in flight with lasers to begin with. Especially not aircraft like Marine One, regardless of who the president is.

Yeah, it’s far more likely that it’s just a homeless man with a cat toy than someone using laser guidance from an old [RBS-70 MANPADS anti-aircraft system](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RBS_70), but you never know.

That said, it wouldn’t surprise me in the least bit if Trump claimed that this was an assassination attempt. Maybe he’ll wear another bandage.

  17. >After his trial wrapped earlier this week, the jury deliberated for just 35 minutes before finding Winkler not guilty, according to his **public defenders**, Alexis Gardner and Ubong Akpan.

Pirro is losing to public defenders, how pathetic lmao.

  18. Plastic-Coyote-6017 on

Dang I dunno guys its kinda starting to sound like Republicans are fucking terrible at their jobs lmao

Jeanine Pirro has always been a piece of shit. There was a kid in my highschool who was killed by a coked up friend and everyone at the party tried covering it up, rather than getting him help. While unconscious they tried to move his body to avoid getting someone in trouble for having the party at their house… and in the process dropped him on his head. Twice.

These kids could have saved their friends life, but made bad choice after bad choice. At the end of the day, Pirro let them all walk. Even the kid who threw the lethal sucker punch. All because she knew the family whose house it all went down at and didn’t want them to face any trouble. Fuck Jeanine Pirro.

Some lasers can blind someone from miles away but most of the ones sold as cat toys are weak enough and poorly focused enough that the beam spreads out enough over distance that they are usually not much threat to people in aircraft. I still don’t recommend pointing them at aircraft though.

  21. poisonandtheremedy on

Please don’t shine laser pointers at aircraft, it is 100% a federal offense and very harmful to the pilots, causing (temporary) blindness and an extremely unsafe cockpit situation.
