Why did they fuck up themselves on purpose? Was the “cost savings” if any worth it?

  2. Do yourself a favour, intall linux and you will have control of your own pc again like you did in 2006.

  3. Ok so if literally not being allowed into your own pc by any means which could cause massive data loss on both personal and professional projects doesn’t get you to switch to Linux, what will?

And no, adobe is not a valid excuse at this point. You know for a fact why they don’t support Linux. Just cut them off, live with alternatives and if that industry collapses, so be it. It can go to being a small, contained or recovering industry using open source software but y’all really need to figure this whole thing out.

It’s okay everyone, they’ve already asked grok to help since copilot screwed up. They’ll have a fix for it in no time. 🙂

Isn’t this the second or third one of the last 365 days? That data should tell Microsoft something, but we know they’ll ignore it.

  6. Win 11 security is so laughable. We spent a lot of money upgrading our hardware for this crap. They should be sued for willful selling of a knowingly unfit product and antitrust.

  7. Every single major update has had issues. Seems Microsoft has turned users into beta testers without their consent.

  8. Wait, I couldn’t login the other day and now it is asking me to activate Windows…..related? What a cluster.

  9. They were still trying to push this update to my machine yesterday…. I luckily already knew about the issue with that security patch so I paused the update.

Instead of worrying about being called Microslop or changing the company culture into a “startup” again, Satya should actually change his tune to the end-user being the QA team for Windows.

I’ve never seen such a big company with so much market share with their priorities so messed up across several sectors of the company. It’s embarrassing.

  10. Oh FFS. Right I’m starting a new business that teaches everyone personal and enterprise how to Linux. For the good of all mankind.

Thankfully just installed Linux (Zorin OS) on all 3 of my home PCs – done with Microsoft and their forced AI slop.

Unless you have some specific apps, hardware etc that can only be used on Windows for some reason, now is a great time to make the switch.

  12. They really do need an official rebrand to MicroSlop and be done with it.

I’ve never had as many issues with an OS as I’ve had with W11 and I’ve been an active user since DOS era.

If I shutdown my computer I have to restart it like 4 times for the sign in to work. Shits ridiculous.

  14. How can they be asking us to “stop calling it slop” when this shit is now happening on the regular? And if this is the shit we’re seeing, who knows how disgusting the shit we aren’t seeing is?

  15. Windows is not a product to push into bleeding edge, its a product where bleeding edge is created. The foundation must be simple af and stable to create and produce things.

Some grown up needs to tell them to stop fucking with the foundation. If you want to wibe code, go update skype or some shit

FYI there is a package on Github that lobotomizes the AI tools in Windows 11.

I suggest Googleing it, and using it.
