The Celje star has commented for the first time on the possible invitation from Kosovo, where among other things he revealed that since the time he was in the U21 age group, he has not had any contact with the FFK.
He admitted that he was a little disappointed because he expected to at least be on the reserve list, but at the same time he knows that if he continues to work then he will be contacted by selector Franco Foda.
“The normal invitation that every player expects. Every player expects the invitation and it is the biggest dream of my career to play with the Kosovo national team.”
“But, after I passed the U21 generation, I was captain – I played all the matches, I had no contact from our national team, I didn’t receive any messages saying we are following you or you are on the reserve list.”
Avdyli added that he has seen that Foda is following the matches of the Kosovo football elite, and he is optimistic that the invitation will not be delayed.
“I expected that even if I was at least on the reserve list, I would have passed all the age groups. I watch all the matches of the Kosovo Super League, and I often see that he (Franco Fodas) doesn’t care which match I go to watch.”
“My goal is just to work and score as many goals and assists as possible. I know that the time will come for me to represent Kosovo, I am very optimistic.”
