Japanese politicians should be smart and avoid taking extreme positions. Where it’s beneficial, they should cooperate with China, in other areas, with the US, and act as a buffer between them to gain advantages for their own side.

I do think it’s funny that when America threatens to invade Greenland, people say Europe should cut ties with America.

When Japan says China does not have the right to invade a sovereign nation and china gets angry and starts bullying Japan, people here say Japan should bend over to China and let them invade whoever they want.

    I wonder why.

    > threatens war against China

    > China blocks trade critical to your economy

Ultra right government: *surprised pikachu face*

  4. 1 week to a few months old Reddit accounts spewing pro CCP cool aid, then countering with “but the USA” in every damn sub.

It’s getting old guys, gotta find a new spiel to convince anyone here.

Here’s the thing. If China wanted to take Taiwan, it could, and nothing Japan does militarily would make any difference. The US at this point would likely side with China since trump loves Xi so much.

But China DOESNT take Taiwan because it would, for all intents and purposes, be disastrous and likely give them little economic benefits aside from seizing chip manufacturing, which Taiwan already said they would sabotage if an invasion took place. It’s the same reason China would not invade Japan. The only way it would be worthwhile is if the population would not resist and that’s clearly not the case and likely won’t be for another hundred years at least.

With that, it’s better not to pointlessly saber rattle with China when the invasion is likely not to happen either way. It’s just to earn nationalistic points from Takaichi’s standpoint

  6. Does not matter about what you belive about Japan. Japan has no chance against China, and that is why USA is in Okinawa. We are all aware about that. Chinas exconomy and military is stronger. So it is just very stupid to provoke China, they just could let this to to Trump and laugh. But instead, they will suffer now in Japan.

Japan, you fuck up by depending on China this much. WTF. Build your resilience back please.

You don’t have to be hostile but you need to be resilience.

Remember folks, if the rest of the neighboring countries hate you, something is wrong with you. Yes I’m talking about China and also US now too cause Canada hates them now lol

  9. Many people don’t really understand the political relationship between China and Japan. Before becoming Japan’s Prime Minister, Sanae Takaichi was actively involved in so-called separatist organizations for Inner Mongolia, Xinjiang, Tibet, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, supporting them. The Chinese government had long regarded her as a thorn in its side.

After she became Prime Minister, China initially tried to show goodwill toward her, and Xi Jinping agreed to meet her in South Korea. However, during their conversation, she focused entirely on demanding that China respect the human rights of Mongols, Xinjiang residents, Tibetans, and Hong Kong people. Later, Takaishi stated she would use military force regarding the Taiwan issue.

In short, Sanae Takaishi is an extremely anti-China Japanese far-right politician who wants to split China.

Japan should become nuclear nation otherwise in future they will not able to defend themselves. Like how russia started invading ukraine, smaller nation will be always be at the mercy of bigger nations
