The Kosovo Police, through the Directorate for International Police Cooperation and in coordination with relevant units and institutions, has carried out the extradition of a citizen of North Macedonia to his country.

The extradited person had been arrested earlier by Kosovo Police units, as he was wanted by the justice institutions of North Macedonia on an international arrest warrant. The suspect had escaped from prison, where he was serving a sentence for the criminal offense of “Robbery”.

The extradition process was carried out in accordance with applicable legal procedures and thanks to close inter-institutional cooperation between the Kosovo and North Macedonian authorities.

The Directorate for International Police Cooperation has announced that it will continue the exchange of information and coordination with local institutions, partner countries and international organizations, with the aim of preventing, investigating and detecting criminal activities, as well as tracking, capturing and arresting criminal individuals and groups.

The Kosovo Police has reiterated its commitment to law enforcement and strengthening security, both locally and internationally. /Telegrafi/
