  1. Went to Tenya the other day. Big sign out front stating the used Japanese rice. Meanwhile, what used to be half a maitake mushroom in the vegetable tendon is now kakiage with a whisper of maitake lol. I guess this might be a plus for some people, but it’s obviously much cheaper than a big chunk of maitake.
