In 2025, I used the app Alcogram to track all of my alcoholic drinks. The app allows to track volume but I didn't utilize this feature. With a CSV file, I was able to use Gemini to create the graphs. Top level highlights:
- Total number of drinks: 715
- Total Cost of drinks: USD $4,101.21
- Drinking frequency: 170 out of 365 days (46.6%).
- Intensity: 4.2 drinks / day on days that I drank
- Longest Binge: 13 straight days with at least 1 drink
- Longest Rest: 17 straight days
The analysis showed ~40% of the drinks were free (I didn't track this properly) but I wouldn't be surprised if the number is probably as high as 25%.

so uhhhhh, do you plan on drinking less with this information?
What are we counting as 1 drink here?
The first step is graphing out your problem… or something.
I’m curious about your higher Tuesday and Thursday drinking. Is your work pattern different than the standard Monday-Friday?

How did you get so many free drinks?
That’s something like $1,700 worth of alcohol
I don’t see any graphs, just a cry for help.
Trying to kill that tapeworm the hard way are we?
I enjoy a nice glass of Whiskey but damn
Thirsty Thursday’s were a go in 2025

Not sure if people know this, but Apple Health has alcohol consumption tracker too. It also has… sexual activity tracker too.
No pressure, just letting you know /r/stopdrinking is a great community
do you consider yourself an alcoholic? im guessing you dont lol
Bro this is pre alcoholism xD Time to put down the bottle
Lol Reddit coming in to label any person who drinks an alcoholic 😂
Impressive, you drink more in a month than I do in a year lol. Maybe multiple years tbh
This is alcoholism. It will absolutely age you before your time and screw up your body. You really need to discuss treatment with your doctor. At least in my country (Canada), the recommended alcohol consumption is < 2 drinks/week.
You go to meeting on M, W, F?
Here I am having 3 drinks a week and wondering if I should cut down
The averages are glossing over some of the behaviours here. I’d love to see even more granularity that sheds more light on your binge drinking patterns.
Ok I also happen to track all my substances. Might as well share my alcohol consumption as well:
* **Total number of drinks**: ~276 (3870g of ethanol) (eyeballing the error to about 5%)
* **Total Cost of drinks**: under 300usd (?) (converted from czk)
* **Drinking frequency:** 46 out of 365 days (12,6%).
* **Intensity:** 6 drinks/day, on days that I drank
* **Longest Binge:** 5 straight days with at least 1 drink (was on a roadtrip with friends)
* **Longest Rest:** 22 days
* **Average grams of ethanol/day:** 10,6g/day (0,75 drinks/day)
I don’t really track the price. But I would guess I had a higher percentage of free drinks than OP. Maybe like 30-40% assuming his 25% estimate is correct.
My consumption is steadily slowing down since I started tracking it (but not because of it, it’s a trend that has been happening for quite a bit longer, I guess I could have surpassed 450 drinks a year easily 5-4 years ago).
I can’t easily export into graphs since I have the data in a json. I have tracked 6260g of ethanol in total since I started tracking it at the 4th of July 2024 (564 days)
So 365 days prior and back (in those 564-365 days) my average was 12,11g/day. And the average in the last 6 months is: 9,3g/day (but I blame the new years eve, I had like 20 drinks.)
Damn that’s about 43.500 calories. Which is about 2 weeks worth of food..
I’m not going to tell you if you need to cut back or what.
I’m replying to say, kudos to you for actually making the effort to objectively track your drinking.
Most people severely underestimate their own drinking and there’s a high likelihood that many people responding here (telling you that you should cut back) are unknowingly lying to themselves about their own drinking habits.
what happened in June and was it a good thing or a bad thing
Why is March so much lower? Jail?
Maybe I should I do it!! But it’s so much fun not knowing!!
Okay now do an overlay of liver function.
Wasn’t there another poster like this but who also included his number of blackouts?
Monthly? That’s my weekly
How old are you, if you don’t mind?
I looked at this and thought shit that’s a lot, but then I remembered my 20s where one night out alone could mean 20 drinks
Ooof, that monthly spending graph. Cool data though.
Bro was living through Project X in June
There’s certainly data there
I’m glad you put the cost there because my first thought was “I can’t afford to drink that much”
You should also measure mL/oz in pure alcohol consumed.
Howcome June was so much more expensive than the second highest drinking month, May?
I guesse you have untapped.. Looking at Thursday’s
Should be a bar graph. Use a line graph if the interpolation is meaningful.
