According to a Finnish colleague of mine the current government is saving the economy. I am not an economist but is it really saving it? Like is there hope in the next two years for things to get better?
Why is it though? Is it because of a welfare state for the unemployed or an actual shortage of jobs?
I miss Finland, but seeing this and the rate getting worse, I am glad we moved back.
There was little chances for employment anyway.

Don’t believe numbers coming out of Türkiye.
It would be more interesting understand who are this unemployed people: foreign, recent graduates, age of the people percentage, qualifications and so on..
And a VAT at 25.5%, just to ensure we paralyze well the economy.

Let’s make sure Sweden doesn’t catch us.
It also doesn’t help when lots of workplaces rather wait for työharjoittelu people to do the work instead of hiring. Many restaurants when I moved would tell me, we have space if you want työharjoittelu, but not space to hire. I’m sure other industries take good advantage of the system. I had 10+y in the industry already so felt it a slap in the face, because USA employers don’t give work certificates as proof of prior employment.

You should look at employment numbers instead. Kela keeps a lot of people unemployed who have no ability to work.
Remember we need imigrants to fill our Job market because our windling Work force IS aging.
Kela will feed us
