South Korea will face off Austria in a friendly match in March ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The Korea Football Association(KFA) announced on Tuesday that the match will be held at Ernst-Happel-Stadion in Vienna on March 31.
Austria, which ranks 24th in FIFA rankings, or two notches lower than South Korea, will be returning to the World Cup for the first time in 28 years after finishing first place in Group H.
The upcoming friendly is expected to serve as a trial run for Team Korea for a group stage match against a European team.
South Korea is set to face the country that will emerge as a European playoff winner in a match slated for March.
