The Australian men’s national under-20 team have lost 4–6 to the Serbian men’s national under-20 team in their second game of the 2026 IIHF Ice Hockey U20 World Championship Division II Group B tournament in Belgrade, Serbia. Australia’s goals were scored by Thomas Harrow, Ivan Kuleshov, Jed Lake, and Cody Reader. The IIHF award for best Australian player of the match was given to captain Lachlan Sucher, forward Jack Mollee was named the hardest worker for the team, and goaltender Thomas Papas was given the player’s player award. The result is an improvement compared to the last time the two teams met at the 2025 World Championships where Serbia won 5–1.

At the end of the third round, Australia has dropped to fourth on the standings, six points behind the first-placed Netherlands. Australia takes on Israel today for their fourth game of the tournament. The two teams last met at the 2025 World Championships where Israel won 5–2.
