University of Kentucky forward Kam Williams limped to the Cats bench with 18:11 left in the second half of UK’s 85-80 win over Texas on Wednesday night. The update from Mark Pope after the game was not a good one. “Kam’s foot’s broken, so he’ll be out,” Pope said. “He’s just a beautiful kid, I though he actually made some special plays tonight. We’re gonna get him back healthy as soon as we possibly can, but he’ll be out for awhile. It’s certainly a blow to us.” Williams started and scored nine points against the Longhorns. He had started the last three games and a total of seven this season. He scored a season-high 26 points and hit eight of 10 three-pointers in the Cats win over Bellarmine on Dec. 21. Williams averages 6.8 points per game.
