      You bet that more will be cancelling their trips.

      It’s all just another grift.

      Trump has turned the US into a fascist terrorist state. Hence all the international visitors stay away, hence it will be Americans only in the stadiums. And because there are so many seats available after the cancellations, and due to Trump’s economic policies the only Americans who can afford any tickets at all are billionaires.

      This is his goal. He wants to have the entire stadium for himself and his friends. And you bet he’s gonna be on every winner photograph. If you’re one of only 100 people in the stadium, that’s easier.

      Also, hopefully other nations retreat from the competition, therefore team USA will be declared the world cup winner, because it’s the only team left participating.

      I remember around Qatar WC thinking how awesome it would be to make my first travel to US with classic car trip and WC game to watch.
      Now we know its will be expensive beyond imagination and nobody can assure me I wont be treated as illegal migrant to deport for some bullshit. Thats a really toxic deal here.

      I’m sure they will give out the tickets for free to school kids so they can fill the seats. Most Americans are not buying those tickets at any price.

      lol if Europe didn’t sit out Russia in 2018 and Qatar in 2022, there’s really no moral high ground left to stand on.

      Canadians have been cancelling trips to the US for leisure and business since 2025. We’re sure that Europeans will join us in a larger scale in 2026.

      Ha ha you guys are funny – where were your principals when the World Cup was in Qatar? They even re-arranged to whole international and club level schedules to accommodate that shit!

      Nothing sends a message quite like money or lack thereof, but of course the problem then becomes that Trump will throw a temper tantrum about how everyone is too stuck up to come to America for this event.

      You have no self respect if you are from Europe or Canada or anywhere else threatened by the US and you choose to travel there for pure pleasure purposes. Make the minor sacrifice, don’t go. I don’t even know why anyone would *want* to go to a place with a mask vigilante police/thug force that is above the law.

      With ticket sales tanking, FIFA will have to make prices extra cheap so all those farmers and other MAGAs who lost their jobs can be used to fill seats and make the WC look like a resounding success. FIFA could even give the great dictator another peace prize.

      Wouldn’t be more happy if they’d reschedule all matches outside the U.S.
