The municipality of Silves has appealed to citizens to exercise caution when circulating in the area, including if they have animals with them, due to the possibility of flooding.
Road closures may be implemented on CM 1153-1 and EN 124-3 as a preventive safety measure.
Civil Protection has also appealed for the removal of objects that may restrict water flow and for the securing of loose structures, namely scaffolding and advertising billboards.
The same entity warns that citizens should be careful when driving and reduce speed due to the possible formation of water tables on the roads. When driving in areas with tall trees, one should also be cautious due to strong winds.
