The United States of America has donated to Kosovo a Rapiscan mobile scanner, American production, worth 3 million dollars to strengthen border security.

Rapiscan scanners are advanced security control systems, manufactured by the American company Rapiscan Systems, which specializes in detection technology.

They are widely used in border crossings and customs, ports and airports, government and military facilities and critical infrastructure.

Depending on the model, Rapiscan scanners can detect weapons and explosive devices; drugs and contraband; counterfeit or undeclared goods and objects hidden in vehicles, containers or luggage.
