Following its global “What Next?” campaign unveiling the 2026 slate through tarot-themed storytelling, Netflix Italy has presented its most ambitious local lineup to date, bringing together an unprecedented constellation of Italian stars, creators and cultural figures across film, series and unscripted programming.

The 2026 slate marks the first time Netflix has assembled such a broad and high-profile cast within a single year for its Italian offering. The lineup features leading actors and creators—including Luca Argentero, Massimiliano Caiazzo, Sergio Castellitto, Matilda De Angelis, Elodie, Fabri Fibra, Pierfrancesco Favino, Alessandro Gassmann, Elio Germano, Maria Chiara Giannetta, Serena Rossi, Vanessa Scalera, Edoardo Leo, Zerocalcare and Luca Zingaretti—alongside prominent athletes such as Federica Pellegrini and creators with large followings among younger audiences.

“I’m truly proud of the spectacular pool of talent who this year will give a face and a soul to our Italian stories, which are unique and authentic,” said Tinny Andreatta, Vice President for Italian Content at Netflix Italy. “Each has had a distinctive and unique creative journey, and through our collaboration, we’re excited to be offering these celebrated performers the opportunity to give audiences challenging and previously unseen versions of their artistic identities. And this is an added value we’re really proud of.”

A major pillar of this year’s strategy is a strengthened slate of Italian original films. Alongside the upcoming release of “The Big Fake” by Stefano Lodovichi, starring Pietro Castellitto and Giulia Michelini, Netflix announced four new film projects. These include the action title “Senza Volto” by Fabio Guaglione starring Edoardo Leo and introducing his daughter Anita; the dramedy “Feel My Voice” by Luca Ribuoli with Sarah Toscano and Serena Rossi; “Campioni” by Jacopo Bonvicini with Alessandro Gassmann and Anna Ferzetti; and “Noi un po’ meglio” by Daniele Luchetti featuring Elio Germano and Maria Chiara Giannetta. Netflix reaffirmed its intent to elevate production quality while directly addressing Italian audience tastes, combining originals with first-pay-window releases of theatrical films.

The series slate showcases an equally robust mix. New titles include “Motorvalley”, an action drama with Luca Argentero and Giulia Michelini; “My 2 Cents”, an adult animated series by Zerocalcare; “Chiaroscuro”, a light crime series starring Pierpaolo Spollon and Andrea Lattanzi; “Minerva Academy”, a young adult drama featuring rising Italian talent; “Nemesis”, a thriller led by Pierfrancesco Favino, Barbara Ronchi and Elodie; “The Good Boss”, a comedy starring Luca Zingaretti; and “SuburraMaxima”, a new chapter in the globally recognized Suburra universe. Three fan favorites—“Real Men”, “My Family” and the final season of “The Law According to Lidia Poët”—will also return in 2026.

On the unscripted side, Netflix will expand its offering following the recent debut of “Paparazzi King.” The year will introduce “Physical 100: Italy”, featuring Federica Pellegrini, Alvise Rigo and Luis Sal, as well as the return of the rap competition format “Rhythm & Flow,” now entering its third season. From April 1, Netflix will also become the exclusive Italian home of WWE, including RAW, SmackDown, NXT and all premium live events such as WrestleMania, complete with Italian commentary by “Il Godzilla” Luca Franchini and “Il Bardo” Michele Posa.

Celebrating a decade since its launch in Italy, Netflix emphasized renewed momentum driven by a content strategy anchored in variety, quality and ambition. “We want to continue to invest confidently in our country with a long-term perspective,” Andreatta added, “while enhancing the vital, inspired work of the writers, directors and independent producers who collaborate with us and who are the incubators and creators of the emotional stories we’ll get to see on screen.”

Netflix’s 2026 Italian slate positions the streamer to deepen its market presence, strengthen its ties with the creative community and broaden its appeal across a diverse and multigenerational audience.
