I know I’m not meant to pity those guys, and given it’s a “tradition” it’s not a new phenomenon, but with 34.000 men KILLED in december only, I can’t help thinking it’s some sort of “social/ethnic” cleansing.

So, you know what this psychoterror is:

**Dedovshchina** is an unofficial system of bullying inside the russian army in which older soldiers create a parallel power hierarchy and terrorize new recruits to break them and fully control them – in practice it works by forcing newcomers to perform personal services (cleaning, laundry, extra night duties), endure physical abuse (beatings, exhausting “punishments”), psychological humiliation (public shaming, sleep deprivation), and often hand over money, food, or equipment, effectively turning it into organized extortion; the goal is not training but control, frustration release, and the destruction of individuality so soldiers obey out of fear, while the system sustains itself through a cycle where victims later become abusers, commanders historically tolerated it as a cheap tool of discipline, and the result is traumatized, demoralized troops with low cohesion, which today also shows in the poor performance of the russian army in real conflicts.

Great. So when you finally get your rifle with ammunition, you already know who you’re aiming at first.

Russian culture on display. This doesn’t come from nowhere. There is no pride, respect, or generosity. This is all just top-down power struggles with predator/victim dynamics… Russia in a nutshell.

They don’t show the raping. Because that is a huge part of it, Rape is actually a big part of Russian culture.

Ah yes, a stunning display of culture.. just in case the new recruits needed a refresher on exactly what they’re fighting for.

  7. I cant fathom doing this to your own. If I caught someone doing this to my soldiers when I was deployed there wouldnt have been a force on earth that would stop me from kicking their teeth in and permanently disabling them.

  8. im starting to think some of the russian officers are working for ukraine. they should make a new initiation, 1 hand batallions

  9. Imagine if the Russian army wasn’t this way. They would have been able to accomplish so much more.

It’s hard to believe a modern military is so barbaric and backwards. Thankfully the orcs aren’t going to become competent anytime soon.

  10. From Dostoevsky and Tolstoy to this in just over a century. Russian culture erased itself, time to get rid of the remnants.

  11. Doesn’t seem like dedovshchina, if you actually listen to what they say.
It seems this is some form of punishment for bringing in drugs. Apparently several soldiers died due to this and the soldiers seem to have taken ‘justice’ into their own hands.

  12. “Grandfathering” or something like that.

It’s actually one of the main reasons why my wifes family left USSR as soon as they had the chance. They did not want my young brother in law to endure this terror.

  13. i guess this is not what those orcs expected after signing up to kill Ukrainians, huh?

well, sucks to be them lol

  14. This is not Dedovshchina. These guys got high on salts and a bunch of other Russians got killed in an assault. Dedovshchina was and continues to be a huge problem, but that’s just not what’s happening here

  15. This is inherent part of russian culture. It came to other Eastern European armies to, until their countries liberated themselves from russian occupation in early 90s. Not in such extreme forms (it’s hard to get civilized people to behave *entirely* like orcs), but still, it took at least two decades to eradicate 🙁

  16. I think this video is from earlier in the war, based on the wagner patch which can be seen on one of the soldiers, I think I saw it maybe 2024?

  17. selfish_cocroach on

Bro, listen to the words. It’s a punishment for drug-addicted soldiers, that left their own behind, causing death of the other guys.

    > Joins glorious Russian army after believing the propaganda
    > This

Must be wild to experience the whiplash. Must be Russian to accept it.

  19. Creepy_Jeweler_1351 on

Not a dedovshina in this case. They were using amphetamine and refused to go on assault

  20. Hard to believe there isn’t more revenge killings. Vlad is finally issued his rifle and immediately goes and finds those guys.

  21. Exactly what I want is the muzzle of an AK47 going off next to my ears. You will get over the caning but the ringing……..

  22. Welcome to the Russian army… a country that doesn’t respect you. You don’t deserve to fight for them. They’ll treat you like a rag, before and after, and they won’t care that you’re their citizen.

  23. Jeni_Sui_Generis on

This is old video! Reason was that these guys refused to go on assault and they got to dig their own grave after.
