    1. People will.always find the shortest route.

At least it’s better than a worn.out muddy path

I prefer gravel so we aren’t shredding more micro plastics, but it probably doesn’t matter.

    3. Feels weirdly soft under my shoes but I ain’t walking around on the other path they made, it’s a terrible spot

    4. What’s wrong with having a dirt desire path in a garden?

Dirt is the most “garden” thing you can have in a garden.

Why do they think mother nature needs to be made out of plastic now?

I don’t understand why we have so much information about how bad fake turf is for the areas where it is laid, and (I assume) councils and the like still use it. That said, if it’s going to be as hot as suggested next week, it will probably melt.

What in the incest fuck was going on in the counsel planners minds when they cooked that one up?

    7. Ew to the fake grass.
This is Ant Colony Optimisation in action. The council or designers have one idea about where the path should be while the people disagree and vote with their feet. Just give in and put a proper path there.

    8. Didn’t know it was there. Not too fond of it being fake grass though, couldn’t it have been gravel or dirt?

    9. Presumably covering a desire line in a way that doesn’t add a weird little path next to another path

Fake grass is absolutely putrid. It stinks like old tinsel when it’s hot. It causes cancer but it used in over %90 of daycare centres.
It’s next to impossible to dispose of and recycle and is a microplastic nightmare.
Gives me the ick so bad!

When you have a systemic problem of lawn wear in very specific locations, perhaps it’s time to consider turning that spot into a proper path.

      Hideous. Gravel is fine.
How did this make the top of the councils pile of bad decisions to spend money on?

We need to be honest with ourselves and each other. Stop fighting tides and rivers. Just accept what is undeniably a path the people desire. Pave it, and move on.
