Not sure why Canada thinks the US would allow it be become transhipment source for the CCP to slither into the US.
Canada is upset that Trump doesn’t want US companies building high value goods, like automobiles, in Canada to end up exporting back to the US market. But it’s not as if the CCP would be ok with its companies doing the same to export back to China, so this negative view of Trump while positive view of the CCP is comical.
The CCP’s view of trade is similar to Trump at best, and actually worse as it would, by theft or otherwise, take high value product knowhow from Canada do it can sell it back to them, to itself, and to the world, for its own profit, while Canada gets to be its canola oil farmer, at least until it wants to make noise on what it does, then it can experience the “boycott”, “safety inspection”, “custom forms missing”, or secret directives to importing companies to not import, as revealed recently with nvidia chips and security softwares.
