It’s huge that this is even mentioned. Not only because the insane amount of money involved, lets not even talk about FIFA and their love to greed adn corruption, but the passion that this invokes in the fans and players. The World Cup is huge, for many countries just playing there is the prize. For others like Germany, their is a real shot to win. Something players dream about their whole lives. Just ask Messi to give up his win with Argentina. I bet he would sacrifice almost all of his leauge titles, CL’s or BD’s before he gave that one up.
If it came down to countries boycotting the World Cup then we got some seismic stuff going on. Bigger then any trade bazookas or stuff like that. This is real people who live and work just so they can enjoy their team and their national team play some football. To sacrifice that then the world is burning for some change. Not just ready, but burning.

The 1936 Olympics always looked weird to me, being held in Nazi Germany at the time; and knowing what the current POTUS and his admin. are all about, it makes no good sense to include them and the country they presently preside over when their base views and disdain for everyone not their own means the athletes and countries coming to compete would not be welcomed.
