Outsourced call centre staff at NDIS have to pretend to work for government, workers say

Has anyone else received calls from a government agency where the caller first requires you to provide your name, address, dob, and other identifying data, all whilst calling from a mobile number that is not identifiable and that does not accept return calls?

This appears to be a security nightmare.
