The state of the roads is an absolute joke. Was crossing at a green man a couple of weeks ago when these two eejits came flying around the corner on their scooters. Got told to “get the f*** off the road”. Absolutely ridiculous that nothing is ever done and will continue this way. They are untouchable unfortunately.

I drive in the N2 every day. It’s almost a daily occurrence that I see scumbags doing wheelies on scramblers (no helmet or PPE either).
No regard for safety – themselves and others.
But there has been a complete breakdown of policing in this regard.

Just last night in Cork three people, at least 2 who were children raced past me sat on a scrambler. It was pitch dark and there there no lights at all on their bike.

They are a plague in D11. Saw a lad pulling up beside a Garda Car at Ballymun Lidl not so long ago and taking off with a wheelie to goad them. Guards did nothing. Zero chance of winning a pursuit with a scrambler against a reckless teen.
Hopefully the law changes as a result of this and they’re banned or at least severely restricted like guns. Permit based on a club membership only.
It’s not like this is an isolated incident. I still think of that poor Lithuanian man that was paralysed and blinded after some dickhead landed on him with a scrambler in Darndale Park.
