Delusions lmao one of the big reasons factories and companies are failing is a lack of employees

Absolutely insane and delusional, clearly not a functional party.

Well that’s just incorrect and lies

Cool. So raise the wages enough so the jobs are competitive with other industries.
Two public-run kindergartens near my area closed down. Teachers there were paid proper public servant wages, bonuses pension, 退職金 etc.
The kindergartens were replaced by an out-of-prefecture private company that opened two こども園s in the area. They pay min wage, and can’t get enough staff other than unqualified old ladies who are only working to subsidize their own shit pensions.
The guy in the article is right. There is no physical shortage of workers. But there sure is a shortage of living wage paying jobs.

He’s technically not wrong, there’s no physical shortage of people, there’s a shortage of young and economically active workers . These folks would force the children and retired old people to work at factories if they could.
Although Japan has the largest population of people over the age of 60 or something still working since the pension here is barely enough to not starve

Trying to cut his piece of LDP and Sanseito success 😁

A Sanseito student at my school said the same thing. When I asked her what her solution was she said there are millions of NEETs in Japan and they need to be forced to work before importing foreign labor.

Even if this is true, which I doubt, there are absolutely physical shortages in specific sectors, and you know that they don’t plan on paying livable salaries to get young, Japanese people into them.
This is why I think the foreigner stuff is all election talk and distraction from LDP-made issues. Foreigners will keep coming in because it’s profitable for the right people, and while those people might well be racists fully intent on making life difficult for foreigners, they will always choose self-preservation first.
