What do you think of the proposed California bill that provides whistleblower protection for AI labs and requires large labs to report security events?

Could be? The risks are very catastrophic, and a catastrophic event caused by AI just feels inevitable with how incompetent or malicious people are.

AI is less of a danger than the companies trying to strip every last ounce of privacy to train deep learning models. It’s not intelligent it’s just a predictive algorithm. Then leading to more self policing. Won’t be long before I require an ID and facial scan to use restroom.
Edit: for example, a business can refuse restroom if you don’t make purchase since your bot a consumer and their not a public service. So mcdonalds can just force a eula to require ID scan before use. As it’s training their software. 100% legal…
