Starting this week, every Internet user has access to an interactive map that covers all 3,597 community centers in the country with detailed information on location, contacts, staff, libraries, cultural activities and finances.
The project was implemented by the Narodni Chitalishta Foundation with the support of the Market Economy Institute, volunteers and the Lachezar Tsotsorkov Foundation. Assoc. Dr. Evgenia Sarafova from the Faculty of Geology and Geography of Sofia University also has a key role in the geospatial part.
The map, which was presented on January 22, 2026 at the National Press Club of BTA, is a valuable tool for institutions, municipalities, researchers and local communities. Particularly impressive is the fact that, due to the lack of an official registry, a large number of addresses were checked manually, and the open source software QGIS was used for development.

Виждам равномерна разпределеност.
Това е просто списък с читалищата и после за всяко читалище някаква информация като сайт etc etc. Какъв е плюсът на тази платформа ако я сравним с Гугъл? Не се заяждам, питам.
Чудя се защо още им казват Народно читалище, при положение, че не сме Народна Република 😉

Защо няма в Ивайловград?
Най-много има в София и Варна, а всички други са равномерно разпределени? Звучи ми ок.
Габрово има най-много. Евалата!
Много хубава карта. Единственото, което бих казал, е да обърнете цветовете. Знам, че по подразбиране визуализацията изкарва зелено за по-ниска стойност, но в случая по-ниска стойност е по-лошо, не по-добро. Съответно оранжево и червено където има много читалища няма смисъл – там трябва да е по-зелено, понеже има повече от услугите, които визуализирате.
