  1. That’s a really useless number without any useful context. Did it go from 1 to 15 people? Who knows.

It isn’t even working in a fundamental fashion, judging by the chatter here on Reddit, so I guess I lost nothing by uninstalling it instead of agreeing to that falderal.

  3. Today I deleted Facebook, what’s app, messenger, tik tok, and next door. Feels good to finally get rid of these apps even though I was hardly using them

  4. **Netanyahu**: [“Weapons change over time… the most important ones are the social media” […] “the most important purchase that is going on right now is TikTok… I hope it goes through because it can be consequential.”](https://www.youtube.com/shorts/3tdrO8bA7rs)

    Spoiler Alert: It went through.

Good! I hope the app crashes and burns. Larry Ellison and his goons basically just want to turn it into a right wing propaganda machine.

Deleted my accounts for Facebook and Instagram in 2020.

Just gladly deleted my TikTok account (which hasn’t been used in over 8 months) as soon as I heard this news.

    Never. Been. Happier. 🙌

  7. Good. Having it owned by a Chinese organization was bad, but having it owned by Trump’s buddies is also bad.

Not saying that the next thing in line is any better, but I ain’t mad.

I uninstalled, then I realized I should have wiped my account and now I can’t even log back in so whatever I guess

  9. Fuckin!

    Finally!

Thank you humans! You finally did the only thing I asked you to do all these years!

  10. Yup ,i deleted yesterday. Was getting the same 10 videos. They clearly changed something

  11. I accepted the terms on the update, so far the algorithm hasn’t changed a bit for me, saw plenty of stuff about the ICE shooting, even saw a guy with a camera showing where and how to set up the perfect long distance “shot” of the white house lol. The only thing I’ve noticed is comments are hardly working right now

  12. Damn I wish I had ever installed it so I could be part of this uninstalling… Alas, I never had it to begin with…

Better question. Theyre tracking uninstalls now. Like thats apple or android direct monitoring your phone not just metadata.

  14. my FYP has been fucked recently im just getting random videos that i dont like and i spam not interested but it doesnt help

  15. My survey & games site paid me $7.50 to install it and log in for two days in a row then uninstall it.

That sounds like trumps math, so 5 people yesterday and 7 today? How about percentage from total

Unwise to use it unless you’re ok helping them build their database for tracking citizens and squashing free speech.

  18. I uninstalled a few weeks ago. I thought it would be hilarious for all of the users to fuck Ellison over and uninstall after the deal went through

  19. Ha, I actually meant to uninstall months ago but I completely forgot. This whole thing reminded me and I got to be counted in these statistics.

  20. Think about it:

The Chinese Communist Party was ok

The Trump Administration is too much

What a time to be alive

  21. What’s going on here? That’s one of the worst articles i’ve read in a while. I have no idea what the company is that’s joint venturing woth tiktok.

  22. Good. Let’s see that number continue to grow.

This being under control of a trump friend after they spread the bullshit fear-mongering about china having control should have everyone concerned and ditching the platform.

  23. It is happening, people are getting used to living without doomscrolling. Reading books, meeting friends in person, etc.

    Brain fog will disappear.
