Another case of elderly causing an accident. Some elderly in remote villages may need to drive but within the city, I really don’t see any reason for them to be driving. I’m getting along fine without a car.
There’s no reason for them to be on the train before 7am during rush hour either, unless they’re working at 80+ still, and yet there’s quite a few of them on the trains.

This is the part that terrifies me, and is part of the reason I’m a paper gold driver. There’s no chance I’d even want to drive around in my golden years and risk arrest / prosecution / settlement for causing an accident. Country side is one thing – but you need to have quick reflexes to survive Tokyo/Yokohama/J-city downtown driving. Way too many pedestrians, cyclists and others not paying attention.
