PSA: Don’t forget that School Zone speed restrictions became active again today.
The gazetted window for Term 1 commenced today (Jan 27) which means School Zones are active again during the usual times – even if kids haven't gone back to the school yet.
Why does this country treat us like dump citizens? We have been living here our whole life and know the rules and routine. The people who speed will break them regardless if they are reminded or not.

I don’t understand why when all the public schools I know don’t actually go back until Monday?

because teachers might accidentally run out into the road like a four-year-old or something so let’s all go treacle slow just in case

There are enough kids at my local primary school’s holiday care that they may as well make 40 the enforceable speed limit year round
