I would personally avoid such statements, because firstly it is not, the average salary in Sofia is 1500+ euro.
Second it makes you look like you are just trying to trash talk the country. Bulgaria is not a third world country neither is it the poorest in the EU anymore.
About the n*zi items, I think its mostly Roma minorities selling these, after all Bulgaria was an ally of the axis.
Overall I would suggest avoiding such statements in the future, otherwise I enjoyed your post.
