TOWN OF WALLKILL – Greg and Mark Jaloszynski are planning to develop a large-scale sports and conference center on Mount Hope Road in the Town of Wallkill that will accommodate indoor and outdoor sports, concerts and community events.

The brothers have all of the necessary approvals to construct the 12th Rock building, which will include an indoor track, basketball courts, locker rooms, café and other amenities.

The 156,000 square foot facility with two floors in the center, will accommodate 3,600 people for everything from spectator sports conferences and concerts, said Greg Jaloszynski.

“The indoor sports facility will be used all winter. There are other aspects of it that can be used in the summer for home shows, camp structure, the possibilities are endless,” he said. “We are pretty much building a community center and not a sports complex because it will be used for multiple things.”

The center, with an estimated cost of $25- to $28 million, “will be a great facility offering recreational opportunities as well as ancillary activities,” said Orange County Economic Development Director Steven Gross. It could also attract hotels, restaurants and a luxury conference center, he said.

The name “12th Rock” is a reference to the Bible. Greg is also pastor of Echo Grace Church in Port Jervis and until recently, the brothers owned Tree of Life Landscaping.
