The presence of the bacterium Bacillus cereus has been identified in “Aptamil” milk, therefore the withdrawal of this product from the market has been requested.

This was announced by the Food and Veterinary Agency (AVF) in Kosovo , which emphasizes that the level of risk has been assessed as serious.

As a result of this, as stated in the press release, in accordance with the procedures of the Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF), they are taking all necessary measures for the traceability and withdrawal from the market of this product, imported from the Kingdom of the Netherlands by the company “UNION” Sh.PK. , from Vushtrri.

“The Kosovo Food and Veterinary Agency informs the public that, through the European Commission – Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF), it has received a notification regarding the milk food product APTAMIL, in which the presence of the bacterium Bacillus cereus has been identified, and the withdrawal of this product from the market has been requested,” the announcement states.
