Fun fact: In Afghanistan, when discarding of the tube, we’d have to bend them so the Taliban couldn’t repurpose the tubes into a functioning mortar tube.

Serious question: Why does everybody who shoots one of these things, including American troops, always throw the empty launcher forward towards the enemy? Why not just drop it next to you or throw it behind you? Is the idea that it might burst into flame after firing and you want it far away from you?
