  1. Then cry about it at the bar with the mates *after* you break up like the rest of us adults. Pathetic.

  2. America for decades: “woah Germany let’s go easy on the whole military thing”
America now: “wtf Germany why haven’t you been buying vast amounts of weaponry from us?!”

“You can threaten us with economic sanctions, but telling us to stop importing the third world is

    TOO. FAR.”

Sorry Washington Post, but that’s bullshit. For people under the age of 50, trust began to crumble when Bush lied about Iraq having WMDs and ended definitively under Obama, when the US extended it’s global execution spree with drone strikes and spied on their supposed allies.

  5. This will only last for 3 more years…then hopefully never again. He can grandstand about a third term all he wants, we won’t have any of it. Just watch.

This is the best thing for Europe. They were in a codependent toxic relationship. Fly be free!

  7. What an interesting positive attitude from Washington. Although, yes, one can convince oneself that it is hard to do anything there. But it is not impossible. Especially considering that Europe has signed a fairly large number of economic cooperation agreements over the past month, some of which had been sitting in a drawer for 15 years for fear of spoiling relations with the US.
